Software: The set of instructions that tells the computer what to do and how to do is called software.

There are two types of software:

i. System software: Set of programs to control and manage the operations of a computer hardware. It enables applications programs to work properly. Example: operating system, utility program.

ii. Application software: It is used to perform various applications on computer. It helps the user to perform a specific tasks. People use applications software according to their needs.

There are two types of applications software:

a. Customize software: It is a type of applications software that is design for a particular customer or organization.

b. Package software: It is a type of applications software that is developed for sale to the public. It enables the people to perform daily activities.
